About AltShelf

AltShelf is a directory of third-party AltStore sources. It reads what those sources publish and shows it in one place.

What AltShelf is

AltShelf does not host applications and serves no downloads. It keeps a curated list of feed addresses, a copy of what those feeds say, and pages that present it. Every download link points at the publisher.

AltShelf is not affiliated with AltStore, SideStore or any of the publishers it lists.

Trust

Trust is what a reviewer decided about who publishes a source. It is a claim about the publisher, not a judgement of the apps.

Official

Published by the people who make the client — AltStore itself, or SideStore.

Developer

Published by the developer of the apps it carries, from a domain or account that developer controls.

Community

Published by someone known in the community who collects other people’s work with their knowledge.

Unverified

Nobody has checked who publishes it. That is a statement about the review, not an accusation.

Content labels

A label says what a source carries, so a reader can decide before they open it. A labelled source opens a notice the first time you visit it.

Sensitive

Carries adult or otherwise sensitive material. Its artwork is blurred until you choose to show it.

Tweaked

Carries modified builds of other people’s applications.

Jailbreak

Carries tools that depend on a jailbroken device.

Adding a source

Anyone can propose a source. A submission opens a pull request that a maintainer reviews; nothing is listed until it is merged.

Submit a source

Removing a source

A publisher who wants their source removed, or anyone reporting one that should not be listed, can open a report from that source’s page or write to us. A removed source stops being fetched and disappears from every page; nothing about it is served again.

Contact

Security problems and takedown requests go to the same address.
